Big fan of the food and a bigger fan of the atmosphere - friendly and attentive staff and music that&#39;s right up my alley. Would definitely recommend visiting at least once!

Izakaya Fujiyama

Chiswick Woollahra located in 65 Ocean St, Sydney, New South Wales 2025, Australia, I came here for dinner with my friends after work. The restaurant is selected by looking at the online introduction. Overall it is very good. The food and ingredients are fresh and taste good.

Just in time, the hotel lives here. There is a large supermarket at the intersection. It is more convenient to go to the finger pier, the Royal Botanic Garden, the Library, and the Sydney Bridge. It is more convenient to walk for 30 minutes!

Mothers Day in a Greek Restaurant!! Who would have thought? We ordered the set menu after a special Greek cocktail and then the food started to come. Wow! Quality, freshness, genuine Greek cuisine made on the premises and delivered to our table with pride by the attentive and very friendly staff. We have been searching for a good Greek Restaurant for a while now to match the wonderful experiences we have had in Athens and the Greek Isles and here it was. Substantial quantities of food prepared with love and presented on our table with care. What more can you ask for? We will definitely return.

Some of the dishes are quite good though it can be difficult to understand what exactly some of the daily specials are. Overall quality of raw fish is good but not big on quantity so value is not a strong point here. Beef cheek burgers are surprisingly good. Unfortunately service is not up to scratch. One of the dishes we ordered was somehow not communicated to the kitchen. By the time we queried the waiter it would have taken too long for this duck dish and we had to opt for something else. We chose sushi which also took a surprisingly long time. Inexperienced staff were not helpful in explaining some of the dishes nor advising in regard to the long drinks list for sake, beer and plum wine. It&#39;s a shame because there is plenty of choice though prices are not at give-away levels. Considering this is meant to be a Japanese Pub/Bar this is a serious downside. Sort of expensive Tokyo roulette every time you order a drink. Even on a (relatively quiet) week-night the place can be very noisy as sound reverberates around the room. It can be difficult to understand each other in a group and it is not helped by the arrangement of tables in long straight lines. Very utilitarian but not conducive to privacy as you find yourself practically shouting. Not recommended for a romantic dinner for two. Background music is bluesy which is good.
